Special Olympics Maryland Baltimore County
Special Olympics Maryland Baltimore County (SOBA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society through sports training and competition.
In existence since the late 70’s, Special Olympics Maryland Baltimore County offers children and adults with intellectual disabilities year-round training and competition in 16 Olympic-type summer and winter sports. The organization currently serves more than 400 persons with intellectual disabilities.
Michael J. Fox Foundation
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson’s today. Watch their video to find out how we will get to a cure.
R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center
R Adams Cowley is considered the father of trauma care and gave the world the concept of the Golden Hour. The Shock Trauma Center is the nation’s first and only integrated Trauma Hospital. They are dedicated to treating the severely injured and employ groundbreaking research and innovative medical procedures with one goal in mind – saving lives. Shock Trauma is proud to stand as a cornerstone of Maryland’s EMS Trauma System.
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. They fund more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a nonprofit donor-supported organization dedicated to attacking cystic fibrosis from every angle. The organization’s focus is to support the development of new drugs to fight the disease, improve the quality of life for those with CF, and ultimately to find a cure.
